Kellie Jack is the Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs and the Chairman’s Assistant. Working closely with the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS), Kellie checks progress to degree for undergraduate art history majors. She notifies undergraduates about art history internships and other programming for majors. In addition, Kellie coordinates course schedules for the department, and he assists the Department Chairman.

Luke R. Barclay is the Coordinator for Graduate Programs for the Art History Department. His responsibilities include fielding inquiries for the MA and PhD programs, advising graduate students on degree requirements, scheduling orals, dissertation proposals, language exams and coordinating graduate admissions for the department. He works closely with the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS), as well as with the Director of Art Humanities and the Director of the MA in Modern Art/Critical and Curatorial Studies Program. Luke asks that prospective students read the department website for basic information before phoning.

Emily Ann Gabor, Department Administrator, is responsible for administrative management of the Department of Art History and Archaeology and reports to the Chairman.  She hires, trains, and supervises the department staff. She works closely with the Business Manager to ensure the department stays within its budgets and adheres to University policy. She is the point-person for department personnel issues, and works closely with the Chairman on faculty development. She is also the editor for the department’s annual newsletter, 826 Schermerhorn. Emily has a BA from Brown University and an MFA from Maryland Art Institute. In her free time she loves to paint, and she is currently working on a series of large viscous paintings of poisonous flowers.

As Business Manager, Joshua Sakolsky provides fiscal oversight for the department.  He manages the department's administrative and programmatic budgets, and monitors its instructional and personnel expenses. He advises the Chairman and faculty on historical levels of spending, developing budgets and provides reports as needed. He approves purchases and spending for goods and services. With the ADA, he processes appointments for faculty, teaching fellows and adjuncts. He is also the primary liaison for the department with the Office of International student and scholars (ISSO). Josh manages department grants, serves as the department’s effort reporting coordinator, and supervises the Assistant Business Manager. Josh likes nothing better than to spend a quiet weekend in upstate New York fishing with his wife and two dogs.

Sonia Sorrentini, the Assistant Business Manager for Art History, processes payments for goods and services for the department. She coordinates the department's participation in the Faculty Research Allowance Program (FRAP) and other reimbursement and special funding programs for faculty. She hires workstudy students for faculty and the office and she plays an important role in coordinating department events and receptions. She is the department liaison with Facilities Area Management. Her other responsibilities include coordinating the planning and logistics of faculty searches in cooperation with the Chairman and members of search committees.  Sonia is an excellent baker, and she has a daughter who will be two years old in May.
